Treasure Hunt
This “event” is one of the ways we enjoy witnessing the Holy Spirit speak to us about who He wants to encourage, bless and/or heal. We meet as a group, spend a few minutes in prayer and listen to God for who He wants us to go find. We listen for words that fall under categories such as “Location”, “Person’s Name”, “Person’s Appearance”, “Need”, and “Unusual.” We then get into smaller groups and head out into the neighborhood. Modeled after Ananias’ encounter with Saul in Acts 9, we have gone out and (for a real example) been lead to a “park bench” (Location), met a guy who had “back pain” (Need), he let us pray for him and he was instantly free from pain and in tears of joy and amazement.
