Transient

We began in 2002 when Benji and Abbi Rodes moved to Seattle as urban missionaries with the Nazarene Church. Intent on just serving the neighborhood and following the Spirit, they opened a free community venue called “On the House”. The group met in a storefront space on Capitol Hill, serving a need for a free-to-use venue. Church of the Undignified grew out of this project.  On the House was a service to the community for six years.

The desire to see people set free also led the church to operate a “Healing House” for four years.  This home hosted a discipling community for leaders who were living with individuals recovering from past pains.  Because the spiritual darkness was so present in our community, we realized our need and began a desperate search for the Holy Spirit.  Our journey has produced in us a passion about the goodness of God and His unquenchable desire to heal and show His glory-goodness to everyone in the Church and in everyday life.

After 3 years of meeting in Central Cinema Theater, we now meet for church at Capitol Hill Presbyterian on Capitol Hill from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Sundays.
